Method 1: Creating a Tattoo stencil.
Tattoo stencils are those that are used before the tattoo gun. It is good to draw the outlines with a tattoo stencil than drawing it with a freehand. It is always better to use a stencil to avoid distortion in the final image, since the tattoo artists stretches the skin to apply the tattoo,
A carbon paper is used to trace the selected tattoo design onto another sheet of paper. This is method that is followed by most of the tattoo artist. All the three are placed in a single line, one below the other in such a way that the design comes first and then the carbon paper and the sheet at last. You should remember to place the design that is traced in reverse on the skin. After the design is traced on the skin, it will appear correct.
Many of the tattoo artists produce stencils in the right direction using a artist’s light table rather a carbon paper.
2. Tattoo stencil application
This step will guide you through the stencil application. Protect your skin from any type of germs or infections by applying an antiseptic after a shave. Make use of a roll-on deodorant to transfer the design from the stencil to the skin. Check out, whether the design has been outlined properly, if not, you can remove it with alcohol and replace it again. Now that the stencil has been created, it needs to be applied on the skin of that tattoo owner. You should shave the skin, apply antiseptic and keep it clean before the stencil could be applied. A disposable razor should be used on the safer side to avoid any germs or infection, spreading to another person. One common method that can be used while applying a stencil is a roll-on deodorant. This will transfer the design to the skin, when the stencil is peeled away. If you have not placed the stencil at the right position then, you can remove the tattoo with alcohol. One thing to be noted is that, a roll- on deodorant should be used only once by one person.
Method 3 – Tattoo Outlining.
The final step is outlining the tattoo. Decide with the client about the placing of the tattoo art. After deciding, start to apply the tattoo from the bottom, to avoid smearing of ink.
Use different needles to show variation in the thickness of the outline. This displays outlines in various sizes. This process can be easy for a specialist but not a beginner. The intuitive feeling of the specialists leads them to draw such outlines with variation. While applying the outline, the skin of the client should be stretched out in order for the needles to move smoothly on the surface. Frequently, wipe out the excess ink and blood flow.
